My double room was stylish with balcony. The setting was marvellous, just next door to lovely Valenca, and a walled Fortress. It also was in the old part of town❤

The room was lovely with a great size and a balcony. The hotel had a family atmosphere. The location is fantastic, very close to the historical center of lovely Valenca and the Fort. There's a local cafe nearby for a morning coffee. For tea and treats, Casa da Vila is located close by.

The rooms here are clean and stylish, equipped with central heating, a variety of TV channels, and a desk; for a cost of just $43, we'd definitely return on future visits to the area.

The location near the town center and the fort was great, and we enjoyed the well-organised, reasonably large room with a balcony; it was worth the cost of US$ 43.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the receptionist was obliging. The hotel is in an incredible location right next to the historic old fortress, offering beautiful views of the scenic and historic Valença fort.

We got a room with bathtubs. The bed was comfortable, the staff were very very helpful and affable. The hotel was located in the heart of the city.

The staff was obliging, the room was new-fashioned and spotless with balcony. Central heating, multi-channel TV and a writing table were a nice touch. Location: the hotel was just off shops, the center and Portugal...

Clean place with very helpful and friendly staff. The room was a nice size with a comfortable bed. The spacious bathroom had bathtubs with good sewerage. Prime location in the historic area, very close to the center of lovely Valenca, the Fort, and the historic old fortress.

As a curious traveler, I spent a few nights at Residencial Portas Do Sol and it was a delightful experience. The hotel is nestled in the heart of Valenca's fortress, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking the stunning surroundings. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and well-appointed. I also appreciated the convenient location, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. To top it off, the hotel is right on the Camino route and just opposite the best ice cream parlor in town!

I would recommend this hotel.

Couldn't fault

The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. The hotel is conveniently located within the charming historical center, surrounded by shops and restaurants. I also appreciated the option to park for free outside the fortress and just have a short walk to the hotel.

Parking during the day was a challenge due to limited space within the fortress. , the shower in the room was small and uncomfortable, making it difficult to maneuver without bumping into the faucets.

We stayed at Residencial Portas Do Sol for 2 days while doing the Camino. The hotel is in a fantastic location within the Fortaleza of Valenca, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The rooms are modern with nice decoration, open stone walls, and a great view of the Walls of the Fortaleza. The check-in process was easy, and the staff, especially Vera from the nearby shop, were friendly and helpful. The room had all the necessary amenities, a comfortable bed, and a good Wi-Fi connection. Plus, there was a coffee machine downstairs with snacks to enjoy.

Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

We got incredible value for our money with a cozy room, breathtaking views, and a peaceful atmosphere. The hotel's central location made it convenient for exploring the city. The staff, especially Vera, were incredibly helpful and welcoming.

The breakfast menu could have offered a wider variety of options.
